First stop on the road to Everest: Gunny and Me at the finish of the 38th Marine Corps Marathon in DC.
  • 9 Oct 2013: Austin, Tx - ST JUDE MEDICAL presents me with a certificate of Support, thus becoming a Sponsor of the SfS Everest Endeavor.
  • 8 Sept 2013: Andy Politz, (7-Time Everest Veteran, and another Hero of Everest) has volunteered to help get me prepared to Climb this big hill! Andy has taken a great interest into veteran's affairs and PTSD/Suicide. Check out his org at Ascents of Honor.

23 Aug 2013: Mt Rainier, Joined Everest Team.

Jan 2014 - Aconcagua, 22,841 ft. The highest Mountain in South America, and the first of the Seven Summits I will be attempting. I will be doing the normal route so that I can focus on altitude/acclimatization. This will also serve as my training climb before departing for Everest.

Apr-Jun 2014 - Mount Everest. Climbing via the North Col and the famous Northeast ridge and the 100 ft high "Second Step"
  • 15 Feb 2014: Guest Speaker at the Adventure Summit at Wright State University.
  • 28 Jan 2014 at 1500: Summit of Aconcagua, 6962 meters. The first of the Seven Summits!
